Welcome To:
Project Manager Training — Electrical Phase
Purpose:Ensure electrical layout enhances lifestyle, efficiency, and safety — not just meets code.
Architect and homeowner finalize lighting plan
Confirm:
Fixture style + finish + lumen output
Controls / switches / dimming strategy
Specialty circuits (EV charging, hot tub, heat tape, smart home)
✅ Complete Lighting Intent Review:
“How do you use each room from morning to night?”
✅ Confirm accent lighting: stairs, art walls, cabinetry, mirrors
✅ Capture homeowner sign-off on Purchase Order Sheet
✅ Upload all fixture spec sheets to Detail Page
Purpose:Order the right items and avoid electrical delays — #1 cause of schedule stalls.

Rough-in components (boxes, wire, cans)
Finish fixtures (pendants, sconce kits, trims)
Confirm lead times for custom fixtures

Order trim kits and specialty housings before drywall — not during finish phase.

Verify plumbing, HVAC, windows complete → avoid conflicts
Finalize inspection calendar
✅ Stage fixture boxes + trims → protected storage
✅ Confirm exterior weather-proofing behind fixture penetrations

💡 Safety note:Falls, shock, and wiring hazards must be pre-mitigated.
Purpose:Guarantee power distribution and safety routing meet code & homeowner needs.
✅ Walk home with electrician and homeowner
Confirm switch locations at human reach
Confirm outlet counts + heights per room use
✅ Validate specialty requirements:
Heated floors
Under-cabinet lighting
Smart home device power
Low-voltage wiring paths
✅ First-day routing decisions eliminate rework
✅ Label every circuit before panel cover closes
✅ Photograph wire routing before drywall — upload to Homeowner Manual
Purpose:Protect the schedule — electrical inspections can break timelines.
✅ Blue tape corrections → label locations by circuit + room
