General liability protects you as an independent cleaner in case a client falls in a home, a TV breaks, or any damage occurs.

This is a requirement to work with us, however, we do provide all new cleaners with a 30-day window to obtain it.

This grace period allows you to start earning and get a feel for working with us. Typically, the cost ranges from $30 to $60 per month, and you're free to choose any insurance company you prefer.

Apply toilet bowl cleaner, scrub the inside of the bowl with a toilet brush, and wipe down the seat and lid.

Start by putting your toilet cleaner inside the toilet bowl and letting it sit. Clean the outside of the toilet, starting from the top and moving downward. Begin by wiping the back of the toilet, lift the lid and clean around the bolts and hinges, scrub the upper and lower parts of the seat, clean the base, and behind the toilet. Once the outside is clean, use a pumice stone and gloved hand to scrub inside the bowl, targeting any stains.

Spray the door with glass cleaner and wipe it with a paper towel.

Spray the glass with a shower cleaner like Scrub Free, and use a shower glass scrubby to remove soap scum. Use a toothbrush to get into the door frame, around the hinges, and the top of the door. Rinse the door, dry it, and then use glass cleaner like Windex to buff both sides until clear.

What's the best method for cleaning kitchen counters (assuming everything above is already clean)? *

Lift each item, clean underneath it, and put it back.

Start at one end of the counter and work from left to right. Lift each item, wipe it down, clean behind it, and replace it as you go. Be sure to clean appliances on the counter, such as the coffee maker, blender, and microwave (including the microwave interior if it's on the counter). Also, clean the backsplash thoroughly while moving through each section.

How would you a bathroom mirror with lights above it? Pick the closest answer below. *

Dust the lights and clean the mirror with glass cleaner.

Remove and clean each light bulb, wipe down the light fixtures and frames, and then reinstall. Use glass cleaner on the mirror, buffing it thoroughly while checking all angles to ensure it’s streak-free.

Knock on the door and wait to see if anyone is home. If no one answers, leave the property without taking any further steps to gain access.

Call the admin or customer contact listed on the work order to see if there's another way to gain access to the house, such as a hidden key, garage code, or alternative instructions.

A customer has a lot of knickknacks and books on their shelves, and it's very dusty. What do you do? *

Dust around the books and knickknacks without moving them.

Carefully lift each knickknack, dust it, dust underneath, and then put it back. Remove the books, dust them, dust the shelves, and put everything back neatly.

You realize you forgot to check the trash before finishing. What do you do? *

Leave it and hope no one notices.

Go back and check all the trash cans to ensure they are emptied.

While cleaning, you accidentally break something in the client's home. What do you do? *
